What is Mandelic Acid?
Mandelic Acid is naturally derived from bitter almonds and is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). This means that it is water-soluble and can be neutralised if necessary with a splash of water. It has a large molecular structure and therefore is one of the gentler AHA's in the industry. It is a multi-tasking acid best known for helping to clear acne, improve skin texture, fade pigmentation and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
Which skin types is Mandelic Acid best for?
Mandelic Acid has one of the largest molecular structures out of all the AHAs. This means that it penetrates the skin at a slower pace therefore it is suitable to be used on sensitive skin types without causing irritation.
