2025 has been a landmark year for us, full of growth, innovation and doing what we do best: supporting our customers to make informed choices with their self-care journeys. But this year isn't just about our achievements. It's about how we stepped forward and were there when it mattered - for you and for the wider industry as a whole.
We championed sun safety at the Leeds Marathon through our 365 Days of SPF campaign, completed thought-provoking podcast episodes that sparked meaningful conversations, and opened our doors to customers at our Head Office for a day of treats and goodies with us.
In 2025 we educated, we listened and we were there with our community to always give our support for increased skin confidence, today and for the future.
1. We completed Season 1 of the Skincare & Beyond podcast
We wrapped Season 1 of our Skincare & Beyond podcast with 19 episodes, delving into everything from whether SPF 30 is enough, to how to combat hair loss, to breaking out after using retinol. We also loved chatting to our inspiring guests and hearing the stories behind the beauty brands, from the likes of Georgie Cleeve (founder of OSKIA), Laura and Kieran Tudor (founders of CENTRED), Caroline Sims (founder of Botanycl) and more.
Season 2 arrives in January 2026, so keep an eye out for what's coming next.

2. We educated runners at the Leeds Marathon to support our 365 Days of SPF campaign
SPF is vital all year round due to UV rays always being present, come rain or shine. Luckily it was a lovely sunny day for the Leeds Marathon in May, and the Face the Future team were on hand to give out free SPF and protective caps to runners.
We enjoyed chatting to those taking part, raising awareness about the importance of sun protection as part of our 365 Days of SPF campaign, explaining how easy it is to become sunburnt whilst running a marathon.
To make SPF even more accessible and affordable, we removed the 20% VAT on leading sunscreen brands like La Roche-Posay, Avene, Ultrasun and Heliocare for the majority of the year. You can shop the range here.
3. We became an official partner and supporter of the British Beauty Council's UV Safety Initiative
We're committed to highlighting the risks of sun damage, explaining how sun protection truly works, and helping everyone to make SPF a non-negotiable part of their daily routine all year round.
We're always dedicated to driving better public understanding about sun protection, so we were proud to support the launch of the British Beauty Council’s new UV Safety Initiative. This vital campaign brought much-needed attention to sun protection, SPF awareness and the long-term dangers of UV exposure.
Alongside this, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Beauty & Wellbeing (led by Carolyn Harris MP) began its first inquiry into UV safety; a meaningful step forward in making public health a priority.
We can and we will make sun safety a year-round essential - and your future self will be grateful.
4. We hosted a Menopause and Skincare event with Nadine Baggott in October for Menopause Awareness Month
Hosted by Nadine Baggott, 'Skin Confidence During Menopause' with Face the Future united women across generations to delve into an important topic that needs more discussion: menopause. Panellists (including our founder, Julia) and attendees spoke openly about their experiences of perimenopause, menopause, and the skin and hormonal changes that come with them. 5. We invited customers to our Head Office for a day
We continued to support our customers with their skin journeys, inviting a lucky group to our Head Office for a day of treatments, free beauty goodies and the chance to meet the Face the Future team. It was a great opportunity for our community to connect with each other, learn, share any concerns, and celebrate their progress in their skin journey in a warm, welcoming environment.
We shared our customers' skin stories over on YouTube. Above, Rea explains how she experienced cystic acne, but is reaping the rewards of a glowing complexion after turning to Face the Future and Environ products - and we couldn't be happier for her.
