When you board the plane

Planes are breeding grounds for bacteria, so start by cleaning your fold-down tray (or your personal cleansing station!) with antibacterial wipes and ensure your hands are clean.

Next, use 1001 Remedies PurAir Travel to purify the air around you. This air spray contains 19 essential oils to help boost your immunity and provide a fresh and uplifting scent.

Prepare your skin for take off

Once you are in the air, you can start your in-flight skincare routine. Start by removing any makeup, dirt and grime with Skyn ICELAND Micellar Cleansing Water. This skin-perfecting cleanser removes all traces of makeup, dirt and pollution without the need for rinsing, whilst also balancing skin's pH levels.

The one-stop cleansing solution is enriched with Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, rich in antioxidants Vitamins C & E to comfort and heal irritated skin.

Stay hydrated

When flying, skin quickly becomes dehydrated due to the change in atmospheric pressure and recycled cabin air conditioning, which causes moisture loss. To boost your hydration levels, keep spritzing your face and neck with Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist. This neroli and rose-scented face mist instantly tones, hydrates and refreshes skin thanks to Hungary's mineral-rich thermal waters. For extra dry skin or an intense hydration boost try SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque. The highly concentrated face mask hydrates thirsty and stressed-out skin,

while replenishing depleted moisture levels. Hydrating ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Urea & Vitamin B5 leaves skin smooth, moisturised and balanced.

The great thing about this mask is that you don't need to wash it off! Simply wait for it to absorb for around 10-15 minutes and gently massage any remaining product into skin. It can also be used on hands, elbows or any other dry areas.

Top tip!

We aren't denying you a celebratory holiday tipple, but it's important to ensure you replenish lost moisture during a flight. By drinking plenty of water! The recommendation is around ½ litre per hour of flight time. Plus, the increased water intake means you'll be using the loo more. Getting up, moving around and stretching your legs is important to avoid DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).

Prepare for landing

As you begin to make your descent, you've managed a total of 3 minutes shut-eye and your eyes are looking a little puffy. Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels help to firm, de-puff and cool the under-eye area with an intense dose of calming and cooling ingredients.

The cutting edge cooling transdermal gel patches with Hexapeptide technology are enriched with Ginkgo biloba leaf extract to dilate blood vessels and improve blood flow, helping to reduce puffiness in just 10 minutes.

As you leave the plane, hopefully you are stepping out onto a warm and sunny runway. If so, you are going to need your sunscreen! It is recommended to apply sunscreen 20 minutes before sun exposure, so make sure you leave plenty of time to apply before you get off the plane!

We love Ultrasun SPF 50+ Anti Pollution Face Fluid. This ultra light, fast-absorbing and non-greasy fluid contains broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection against UVA and UVB rays and works to restore optimal moisture levels & brighten skin's appearance. The perfect multi-tasking & protecting moisturiser for your post-flight skin!
